Marvel 30 Day Challenge – Royals

This was another one that didn’t require much in the way of deliberation: Namor.

One of Timely’s earliest super heroic characters, Namor predates the Marvel Age of comics by a good 22 years and still claims a place of prominence in the Marvel Universe.  It’s not his longevity that makes him my favourite, nor his links to older heroes. It’s the fact that he doesn’t really care what you think of him. The ruler of an undersea kingdom and the prince of Abs-Lantis (copyright Jay & Miles X-Plain the X-Men) Namor is the man who is so confident in who he is, that your opinion doesn’t really concern him. He’s high-handed, arrogant and his loyalties to anyone not related to Atlantis can never been relied upon. But in a world of clear cut villains and square jawed heroes, Namor is his own self. He has yet to make his way into the MCU, mostly due to his connection with the Fantastic Four and that means that they haven’t got him wrong yet. He’s been hero, villain, soldier and King and every single one of them is Namor. One of the strongest warriors in Marvel, he is someone you don’t want opposing you. You always want to be on the right side of the fight when you hear the exclamation “Imperious Rex!”

Who wouldn’t want to be so confident that you can walk around in simply a green pair of speedos and still be considered a king?

SuperSam’s answers – T’Challa, son of T’Chaka, the Black Panther

He is dignified, has a great costume and cool powers as well as being a great king.

Other stuff: Back to work today after a week off and as always it feels like I had never been away, apart from the 86 e-mails I had waiting for me. I am away in a few days, so it’s a quick week, but it’s not going to feel like that is it? But tonight I did a healthy option version of southern fried chicken, I actually enjoyed following a recipe and it made the start of the evening very pleasant. In fact you know what, I am going to post the receipe for it, it was tasty enough and fairly easy to make even for me.

Well have fun internet people, I will be back tomorrow with the next bit.
